Yes, you read it right. We were contacted by a prospective customer who asked if we could build a camper to fit his 6’9″ height in both the pop up height and bed length, and of course we answered YES! Of course we can! So we proceeded to build a Custom Pop up Camper for this very nice gentleman who we had only communicated with via email and over the phone. We knew his name was Nate, he currently resides in MA and was originally from right here in CO, and that he would be happy to pick up the camper out here while spending some time seeing family and friends.
When he came to pick up his camper, Nate was happy to fit into his own camper and stand up straight without hitting his head and sleep without his feet hanging over the end of the bed. We however were excited when we realized that he is the Nate Solder, 2011 first round draft pick from CU, Offensive Tackle for the New England Patriots! Nate is truly one of the most humble down to earth people I have ever met!
We are so happy we are here to be able to fill that little niche that folks need when it comes to customizing their camper to fit their own individual needs!

Cari, Rob, We want you to know we had a blast on our trip back home after picking up the camper and overall are VERY happy with it. We could go anywhere and spent a night in the middle of Buffalo National Grassland outside of the Badlands.
Day 2 here at the Overland Expo and we have had a very successful and fun time so far and there is still another day to go! SO many awesome vehicles, supplies and wonderful people! Tonight we will join our friends with Equipt Expedition Outfitters at their space of an “End of the World” Party. Tomorrow we install the camper we brought to the show on to its new home a Toyota Tacoma! Take a look at pictures of all the fun
“Hi Rob and Cari, We installed the camper into our 1942 Dodge military 4X4 today. Wendy was biting her nails about the fit. But everything fit perfect! It even has a little wiggle room. We are very pleased. We are just now getting to know the camper and how to get in and out with two little people. It will be great. Attached are a couple photos. We’ll send some more as we get it out and use it. I’ll try and get some photo’s with better background soon. Thanks for all you help. What a fun project.” – Jeff and Wendy
Jed and Meg have begun the adventure of their life. As we posted a few months back these two adventurous folks are taking on the Americas. Traveling from Jackson WY to South America in their Toyota Tacoma truck with a Phoenix Pop Up Camper. Follow their story at http://adventureamericas.wordpress.com
Cari-I spent last weekend up at hanging lake with a few of my friends, it was amazing weekend. If you have not been to hanging lake you are missing out on a great hike and trip. I also spent some time in the vapor caves and hot springs in glennwood springs. All I can say is WOW! What a trip, thanks phoenix pop up. Rick
“I just spent the last week living out of the camper in Hylite canyon in Montana. It made a excellent ice climbing base camp for me and my friend. It was so nice to ice climb all day and then hike down to a nice warm, dry camper home. There were a lot of very jealous climbers checking out the rig on their way to their soggy tents and snow caves!”
March is usually the snowiest month out here in Colorado. This March has not been following that rule of thumb. We have been in the mid to high and h 70″s all week!!
It is so great to be outside taking in the sun. Please just remember to be responsible, use sunscreen and remeber your fire safety as it may be beautiful, but it is also very dry making for a high fire danger.. HAVE FUN STAY SAFE!
“Hi Cari and Rob! Hope all is well… Just a quick note to say I spent three of the best months of my life in the Elvis Wong Special Edition… Travelling down the west coast, playing tunes and kite surfing. The unit held up awesome and was a pure pleasure. I wrote a few songs last summer in the camper. Here’s one of them, finally got it recorded and edited. I am entering the world live looping championships with it so I am in need of a favor. This comp is all about the amount of hits in the first week so if you could pass it along to your contacts, that would be extremely appreciated!!! Thanks kindly and talk soon! Camping season (freedom!!!) is upon us! Take care.” – Alex
