Colorado is one of the best places in the world for outdoor adventures, and mountain biking is not the exception. The Rocky Mountains offer many trails for mountain bike lovers, so today we would like to talk about 3 of them in this amazing place where you can go for some good biking adrenaline!
Colorado Trail, Tiger Road
The Colorado Trail has more than 500 miles of non-stop adrenaline adventure for mountain bikers around the world. This amazing trail belongs to Denver in the northeast, and Durango in the southwest. It has several downhill sections that will definitely test your abilities to go down as fast as you can. Another aspect that makes this trail one of the best in Colorado, is the spectacular Rocky Mountain scenery along the way.
Colorado Trail Off Kenosha Pass
Located in the west part of Denver, this 24-mile out-and-back trail starts and finishes at the summit of Kenosha Pass. We highly recommend that you start early, since it is normal to have afternoon thunderstorms in the area. Another important thing to take in consideration, is that this trail is over 11,000 feet above sea level, so bring lots of water and take it easy on the trail.
Considered by many the best MTB trail in Colorado, this 19.5-mile loop offers different sections, combining a 2,500 feet vertical road climb at the beginning, transitioning to a middle-ring double track trail at 10,877 feet, and then dropping downhill on one of the most exiting cross-country downhill’s in Colorado.
