Our good friend and customer Larry Wittman has taken his “decked out” ’78 Chevy truck with one of our Custom Pop Up Truck Campers on many trips over the last few years that he has had it. This year’s trip was through the Mojave Rd and Death Valley. You can get detailed information on his trip by following the links below!
Our campers love the spring snow!
Another update from our friends on the final leg of their adventures from WY to South America in their ’97 Tacoma and Custom Phoenix Pop up. Here is a link to one of their latest adventures:

Yes, you read it right. We were contacted by a prospective customer who asked if we could build a camper to fit his 6’9″ height in both the pop up height and bed length, and of course we answered YES! Of course we can! So we proceeded to build a Custom Pop up Camper for this very nice gentleman who we had only communicated with via email and over the phone. We knew his name was Nate, he currently resides in MA and was originally from right here in CO, and that he would be happy to pick up the camper out here while spending some time seeing family and friends.
When he came to pick up his camper, Nate was happy to fit into his own camper and stand up straight without hitting his head and sleep without his feet hanging over the end of the bed. We however were excited when we realized that he is the Nate Solder, 2011 first round draft pick from CU, Offensive Tackle for the New England Patriots! Nate is truly one of the most humble down to earth people I have ever met!
We are so happy we are here to be able to fill that little niche that folks need when it comes to customizing their camper to fit their own individual needs!
HI All! This is a fun site I think all truck camper enthusiasts will enjoy.

They have different campers from all over and it is a blast looking at all the great campers that are out there!
A Big Thank you goes out to Joshua at Truck Camper Porn for including some of our campers into your site!
Everyday we are asked if trucks need air bags, springs or Timbren suspension kits, when adding the weight of a camper to their truck. There is no clear cut answer. This article can help with answering some of those questions.

“Dear Rob and Cari, The camper turned out to be everything we had hoped. All systems operated smoothly and we were especially surprised with how efficiently the refrigerator worked.
Cari, Rob, We want you to know we had a blast on our trip back home after picking up the camper and overall are VERY happy with it. We could go anywhere and spent a night in the middle of Buffalo National Grassland outside of the Badlands.
Day 2 here at the Overland Expo and we have had a very successful and fun time so far and there is still another day to go! SO many awesome vehicles, supplies and wonderful people! Tonight we will join our friends with Equipt Expedition Outfitters at their space of an “End of the World” Party. Tomorrow we install the camper we brought to the show on to its new home a Toyota Tacoma! Take a look at pictures of all the fun
Meg and Jed have made there way into the Baja as their adventure continues! Follow their exciting experiences as they travel from Wyoming to South America in their Toyota Tacoma with a Phoenix Pop up Camper… http://adventureamericas.wordpress.com/author/adventureamericas/
“Hi Rob and Cari, We installed the camper into our 1942 Dodge military 4X4 today. Wendy was biting her nails about the fit. But everything fit perfect! It even has a little wiggle room. We are very pleased. We are just now getting to know the camper and how to get in and out with two little people. It will be great. Attached are a couple photos. We’ll send some more as we get it out and use it. I’ll try and get some photo’s with better background soon. Thanks for all you help. What a fun project.” – Jeff and Wendy
“Hi Cari and Rob! Hope all is well… Just a quick note to say I spent three of the best months of my life in the Elvis Wong Special Edition… Travelling down the west coast, playing tunes and kite surfing. The unit held up awesome and was a pure pleasure. I wrote a few songs last summer in the camper. Here’s one of them, finally got it recorded and edited. I am entering the world live looping championships with it so I am in need of a favor. This comp is all about the amount of hits in the first week so if you could pass it along to your contacts, that would be extremely appreciated!!! Thanks kindly and talk soon! Camping season (freedom!!!) is upon us! Take care.” – Alex
