Glacier National Park, Montana

This wonderful National Park was named Glacier National Park for its prominent glacier carved terrain, and it was known to Native Americans as the “Shining Mountains” and the “Backbone of the World.”

Well known for its natural beauty, the park is considered a paradise for all camping and nature lovers. With more than 700-miles of hiking trails, the Glacier National Park offers pristine wilderness, alpine meadows, rugged mountains and alpine lakes. The park is covered by more than one million acres of forests, peaks and glacial-carved valleys, and it is home to 70 species of mammals and 270 species of birds.
